my story.

elaine harris

Born and educated in the UK, Elaine Harris is a talent agent for artists and designers and works as an Advisor to a number of private collectors in Europe.

« I arrived in Paris in the late 80’s with nothing but a copy of Neville Brody’s book « Graphic Language » which remains my recommended reading for Art Directors. I began working in an advertising agency, learning on-the-job, to become an Art Buyer ».

Throughout her agency career, Elaine was most fortunate to have hired and worked with a number of acclaimed artists including Richard Avedon, Jean-Paul Goude, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, and Juergen Teller. She’s been participating as a judge for the last 20 years in Portfolio Reviews during Les Rencontres d’Arles in France, and workshops at Africa Rencontres de Bamako in Mali.

After her extensive work as an Art Buyer and having organized gallery exhibitions with artists such as Raymond Depardon, Martin Parr and Satch Hoyt to name but a few, she continued to work in the worlds of both advertising and fine art, with an international client list of companies and galleries in Europe, the USA, China, Cuba, as well as in Africa.

“After having travelled to many different countries and had such great cultural experiences, I decided that promoting, eye-catching, talented artists would be my next journey.”
